Sunday 26 Cloudy + dull + rained in the night. The first thing I heard when I woke was DeVerd’s voice. here again with his car. He wanted to stay here for the day but Edith wanted to go out, despite the threatening weather so we went + DeVerd went elsewhere. It rained all the time + twice Clarence had to get out to mend a tube. He got wet of course so I suppose he will get cold + we will have to listen to him coughing again. He is still going to the hospital to have his hand dressed so we dont know when he can use it. He will get paid for his vacation this year the first time in twenty five years.
