May 23, 1927: “We are afraid to move”

Monday 23rd Dull + very chilly in the house what depressing weather. Clarence goes to work at ten o’clock p.m. now for the next month. I dislike this change more either of the others. It is dreadful to have him in bed all day. We are afraid to move. After he had gone tonight Mrs. Bennett came in. Read the papers + went to bed.

On this day in history: May 23, 1927 (Monday)
