May 19, 1927: “such utter fools”

Thursday 19th. Still cloudy + rainy. At rare intervals we catch a glimpse of the sun. A fortnight of this weather is enough to drive one crazy. Ramona run in with her baby this p.m. It’s a pretty little thing but if it lives greatly to be pitied. Why will girls be such fools, such utter fools. Read aloud + went to bed + glad to go.
