February 12, 1927: “not very prosperous”

Edith took Audrea for her violin lesson in the car. She is doing finely seems to have a real talent for it. I hope she will be able to keep them up but I dont know  if she can. Things are not very prosperous if it were not for Ben I don’t know what I would do. God bless him.

There’s Ben and his infamous monthly check again. And to think… this is before the stock market crash. What are they going to do through the Depression?! I wonder if Ben will continue with his generosity.

It seems like Audrey‘s violin classes are one of their major expenses.
