January 29, 1927: “great improvement”

Saturday the twenty ninth
A beautiful warm day. Audrea + her mother went down to the center for her violin lessons. One can notice a great improvement in her playing. I wish she could take private lessons but it seems impossible. Have dragged around + got what work I could done. Did some mending + repairing this p.m.

NOTES + EXPLANATIONS

So I wonder what kind of group violin lessons Audrey is taking “down in the center”, which I’m taking to mean Boston. I didn’t know you could get group violin lessons! Any day now, we should be finding out that Audrey abandoned the violin in favor of the cello, which would become her instrument of choice.
